uploadr2set

uploadr2set is a python-script that uploads images located in a certain directory to flickr.

It was originally written by Cameron Malleroy. Unfortunately Cameron’s version wasn’t able to create new sets, for example out of existing subdirectories, so I extended it that way:

You are now able put any number of subdirectories in your upload directory for which uploadr2set automatically creates a new photoset in your flickr account.

uploadr2set can be run manually from your command line or can be put in daemon mode, so that new images in your upload directory are found and uploaded without any further interaction. So all there’s left for you is drag and drop new images to your upload dir.

As the original script was open source this one is open source, too. Do with it whatever you want :)

Installation:

  • Download uploadr2set (rename from .txt to .py)
  • Download xmltramp (rename from.txt to .py)
  • Edit uploadr2set if applicable (upload dir, tags, titles, descriptions, permissions)
  • Run it
  • Post feedback ;)
